Pogo (Shetland Sheepdog) was one of our most active volunteers, he visited Memorial Manor nursing home, Memorial Hospital Pembroke, Memorial Hospital West, Vitas Hospice in home patients and hospital unit, and also visited Elementary Schools.  He also did employee orientations twice a month for Memorial Healthcare Systems.  He is seen here playing Pokeno at the nursing home.   Pogo is now un-happily retired at 13 years of age, he gets upset when his younger sister does his 'job'   Handler - Jana Thomas

Joy (Shetland Sheepdog), our tester's newest therapy dog.  She has happily taken over visiting all the facilities, plus some, that pogo can no longer visit.  She does visits at all the Memorial Healthcare System facilities and employee orientations every other week.   In 2010 Joy completed a 4 day Animal Assisted Crisis Response seminar, she is now one of 5 therapy dogs teams n the State of Florida certified to go where people are severely traumatized.  Click on this link to see Joy on You Tube singing to the Young and Restless theme song!

Morgan (Golden Retriever) is a volunteer for our Vitas Hospice program.  Handler - Sally Marczyk  Completed testing in May 2006  Morgan will soon be joined by her younger 'brother' Brodie.

Reno (German Shepherd Dog) is 120 pounds of mush!  He was the exception to the NO German Shepherd Dogs rule at Memorial Regional Hospital and we are very proud he was the first GSD allowed to visit that facility.  Handler - Winnie Standish

Penny (Lhasa Apso) is a wonderful addition to our program, now bringing love to everyone in North Carolina.  Handler - Jayne Levine
